I have had my head down writing for what seems like weeks. Every morning on the bus ride into Vancouver, lunch time if I can manage it, sometimes in the evening and every weekend – my attention has been focused on writing the CreaSpaTreat workbook. This will become a really cool multi-media looking piece which will be formatted with loads of inspiration, images, quotes, space to write and fully supported with scientific data links. This is well researched!
Of course, I am not finished yet. Otherwise I would really be celebrating! But, I am getting close to announcing the details for the first destination CreaSpaTreat event, where the first edition workbook will be included for each guest. This will be a special event taking place on the Semiahmoo peninsula in September 2019. There will only be 10 spots available. I want this to be an intimate event where the creative juices will easily flow. Stay-tuned for everything you need to know. I’ll be sending out the first round of invitations on March 31, 2019.
I stood in front of a group of strangers in July of 2018 and declared that I would host a creativity and wellness retreat for women in the fall of 2019. I had no idea how I was going to accomplish that big, hairy, audacious goal. But, over time and with encouragement from my husband and my sister, I am inching forward. We have all the big reservations taken care of and now comes the hundreds of details which will make the event really shine.
On one hand, I want to share every juicy detail as I find all the bits and pieces so thrilling to work on. On the other hand, I want to keep much of what will become CreaSpaTreat a secret so that the attendees can be delighted with surprise. It feels like preparing Christmas morning for the kids.
For now I can show this graphic, which highlights the 8 pillars of wellness.
As soon as I have a synopsis of each one completed, I’ll start posting. For now, I have about 2’ish complete and a rough outline of bullets for the rest. I’m over 12,000 words in. This might be another 50K effort, along with my travel planning book which is going through editing right now. Sigh, yes – I have been very busy writing.
Thanks for being patient. I have totally fallen off my two times per week posting schedule. I know that no-one probably noticed, but that habit was an important practice for me. I’ve just had to be more realistic with what I am able to accomplish these days.
